Can a single dad hockey player and his neurodivergent lifelong best friend find love after fifteen years apart? Find out in Blocking the Chaos, afade-to-black hockey romance in the new KC Crew Sports Romance series.
Welcome to author Dana Wilkerson’s website! If you love cozy mysteries and/or fade-to-black romance novels, you’re in the right place.
D.A. Wilkerson’s Totally 80s Mysteries series brings you a quirky amateur sleuth, a charming Midwestern small town, delightful side characters, a combination of murders and heists (because nobody wants to live in a small town where there’s a homicide every few months), fun 1980s nostalgia, and a secondary romance storyline.
Dana Wilkerson’s Throwback RomComs feature a friend group in Chicago in the late 1980s. These books provide many popular romance tropes, including friends to lovers, workplace, single dad, road trip, one hotel room, grumpy/sunshine, and more. They are set in the same fictional universe as the mysteries, with some crossover characters.
The new KC Crew Sports Romance series is a spinoff of the Throwback RomComs. It’s set in modern-day Kansas City and features the children of the Throwback characters. At least one main character in each book plays professional sports, is a retired pro athlete, or works for a pro team. These books feature hockey, baseball, women’s soccer, and football.
All of Dana Wilkerson’s romance novels are on the fade-to-black end of the closed-door romance spectrum. They don’t shy away from adult topics and conversations, but romantic scenes fade out before they get steamy and explicit.
